DENNIS NAKAKITA was established in 1973 through the collaboration and participation of the Japanese companies NAKAKITA SEISAKUSHO, CO. LTD. and NISSHO IWAI, CO. LTD., together with Spanish shareholders. The company received technical support and technology from NAKAKITA SEISAKUSHO, CO. LTD. until 1986, when it became fully Spanish-operated and further developed its presence in the marine industry and other industrial sectors.

DENNIS NAKAKITA is a manufacturer of valves and hydraulic systems with its own engineering capabilities. Over the years, the company has manufactured more than 100,000 butterfly valves equipped with manual, hydraulic, pneumatic and electric actuators.

Its equipment operates across the seas and oceans of the five continents, serving more than 150 types and designs of vessels and offshore units. These include oil tankers, bulk carriers, dredgers, container ships, reefers, Ro-Ro vessels, ferries, floating docks, chemical tankers, and offshore Floating Production Storage and Offloading (FPSO) and Floating Storage and Offloading (FSO) units.

Most installations are equipped with remote-control hydraulic systems designed for water ballast, cargo oil product filling and discharge, bilge suction, pump suction, firefighting and cleaning services. These systems address stringent requirements for intrinsic safety and explosion protection.

DENNIS NAKAKITA products have received recognition and approvals from established marine classification societies, including DNV, Lloyd's Register, American Bureau of Shipping (ABS), Bureau Veritas (BV) and Germanischer Lloyd. The company's valves have undergone quality approval processes by various naval classification societies.
