High Pressure High Temperature HPHT Injection Skid MOWE

Water injection or water flooding is a method used in the oil industry where water is injected into a reservoir to increase reservoir pressure and support hydrocarbon production.

Water injection can support reservoir pressure through voidage replacement and help sweep or displace oil towards production wells.

HPHT injection systems are designed for demanding operating conditions where high pressure and high temperature performance is required.

These systems can form part of Enhanced Oil Recovery (EOR) packages and offshore water injection systems.

Water injection is commonly used to maintain reservoir pressure and improve oil recovery. Water replaces the produced reservoir volume and helps maintain pressure while pushing remaining hydrocarbons towards production wells.

Water Sources for Injection

Different water sources may be used depending on project requirements.

Produced Water

Produced water can be used for reinjection. However, treatment may be required to manage hydrocarbons, solids, corrosion and scaling risks.

Seawater

A convenient water source for offshore facilities. Filtration, deoxygenation and biocide treatment may be required before injection.

Aquifer Water

Water from suitable water-bearing formations may offer advantages where compatible water sources are available.

River Water

River water generally requires appropriate filtration and biocide treatment before use in injection applications.

HPHT System Configuration

Integrated equipment for high pressure water injection packages.

High pressure and high flow water injection pumps can be integrated with HPHT scale inhibitor systems to form a complete High Pressure Enhanced Oil Recovery package. Depending on project requirements, HPHT injection packages may be installed near deoxygenation systems and boosting pumps as part of the overall water injection process.
