Cast Iron & Cast Steel Welding
MOWE delivers precise welding on challenging materials requiring stringent temperature controls.
Cast Iron Welding: Cast iron contains high carbon content, making it brittle and difficult to weld without cracking. Controlled heating and cooling procedures are therefore important during the welding process. MOWE performs Shielded Metal Arc Welding (SMAW / stick) using suitable covered electrodes, including cast iron, nickel-containing and bronze electrodes.
Cast Steel Welding: Carbon content affects the hardness, tensile strength and weldability of cast steel. Special procedures such as preheating, inter-pass temperature control and post-heating may be required. Our skilled welders select suitable electrode materials and welding procedures according to the application, component material and service requirements.
Thermal Metal Spray
Advanced surface coating technology for corrosion protection and wear resistance.
Thermal Spray applies melted or heated material onto a prepared surface to form a protective coating. MOWE uses the Twin Wire Arc Thermal Metal Spray process to produce controlled surface profiles with different levels of roughness.
Coating Materials & Applications
Material selection and surface protection according to operating environment and surface performance requirements.
Metals & Alloys
Metallic and alloy coatings provide improved corrosion resistance, wear resistance and enhanced mechanical and chemical resistance in demanding environments.
Ceramics & Composites
Ceramic and composite materials provide high hardness, temperature resistance and specialised surface protection for unique performance requirements.
Corrosion & Wear Protection
Provides long-term protection against corrosion, environmental degradation, abrasion, erosion and mechanical wear.
Surface Restoration
Suitable for restoring worn surfaces, improving dimensional characteristics of components and protecting marine & offshore equipment.
Surface Protection & Performance
Engineered coatings designed to improve component durability and service life.
Arc wire thermal spray provides long-term corrosion protection and wear resistance for steel, stainless steel and other suitable materials. Depending on the application, thermal spray coatings can also be applied to suitable concrete, ceramics and plastics where improved surface performance is required.
The thermal spray process can be controlled to achieve different surface profiles and levels of roughness based on the required application. Protective coatings help reduce surface degradation and extend the operating life of components exposed to corrosive and abrasive environments.
Key Advantages

Helps protect component surfaces against corrosion and aggressive environments.
Wear Resistance
Improves resistance against abrasion, erosion and mechanical wear.
Flexible Material Selection
Coating materials can be selected according to project and operating requirements.
Extended Service Life
Helps improve component durability and reduce premature surface deterioration.
