Den Holder manufactures differential pressure flow elements such as orifice plates and venturi tubes, together with specialised piping components and fittings.

INSULATION GASKET KITS
Flange insulation sets supplied with gaskets, sleeves and washers. Available in Type F, Type E and Type D configurations.
Designed to help control stray electric currents, reduce electrolytic corrosion and prevent leakage associated with flange corrosion. Each set is packed and labelled with flange tag number, line size, rating and type.

SPIRAL WOUND GASKETS
Semi-metallic gaskets designed for high-pressure and high-temperature applications.
Available in various forms, materials and sizes according to application requirements.

JUNIOR TYPE ORIFICE FITTINGS
Single-chamber orifice fitting designed for simple and economical checking and replacement of interchangeable orifice plates.
Can be installed in horizontal or vertical pipelines. The orifice plate can be lifted through the top of the fitting without liquid spillage. Line pressure must be relieved before changing the plate.
ORIFICE PLATES
Orifice plates can be designed and calculated according to required standards and customer specifications.
Other materials, designs and standards are available. Orifice diameter is stamped on the tag plate for use with the flow computer. Strength calculations can also be provided to check plate thickness against pressure loss.
Common base materials are kept in stock to support competitive pricing and short delivery times, including rush deliveries where available.

THERMOWELLS
Thermowells manufactured in required materials and according to customer-supplied standard drawings.
Welded thermowells can be supplied with qualified welding and welder qualification documentation. Common steels and stainless steels are available from stock for fast delivery.

COMPENSATORS
Den Holder Compensators / Expansion Joints are designed, manufactured and tested for safe installation in pipework where quick mounting and removal of components is required.
Unbalanced compensators can slide in and out under pressureless conditions. Larger sizes can use hydraulic or pneumatic cylinders. Balanced compensators eliminate reaction forces and compensate forces caused by temperature or pressure variations.

STRAINERS
Several types of strainers, screens and sieves manufactured according to customer requirements or international standards.
Manufactured from pipe, fittings, plate or castings. Designs can be engineered and checked for strength and open-area ratio to achieve low pressure loss.
Design, manufacturing and testing are covered by the ISO 9001 Quality System. WPS/PQR and NDE reports can be included where required.

ORIFICE FLANGES & METERRUNS
Orifice flanges are manufactured as standard according to ASME B16.36, with NPT flange tappings, plugs and jackscrews.
Optional process connections include SW, BW, plain-end or flanged welding nipples. Orifice meterruns are fabricated according to ISO 5167 and construction codes such as ASME B31.3.
Available with flange, corner, radius or pipe tappings, dowel pins and required materials with material certificates 3.1B or 3.2.

FLOW & VENTURI NOZZLES
Long Radius Flow Nozzles and ISA 1932 Flow Nozzles manufactured from forged bar for installation in process piping or between orifice flanges.
Flow nozzles can be supplied with spacer rings, gaskets or as pipe spools with flanged or butt-weld ends. Larger Venturi nozzles use a combination of forged bar and rolled plate, with internal welds machined flush.

VENTURI TUBES
Venturi tubes manufactured according to the commonly used ISO 5167 standard.
Type B Venturis can be machined over inlet and outlet sections across the ISO 5167 range. Type C uses a machined throat section with sheet steel inlet and outlet sections, reinforced with stiffeners and supplied with lifting lugs.

FLOW STRAIGHTENERS
Flow Straighteners are designed to reduce swirl and restore an acceptable reference flow profile where sufficient straight pipe length is not available.
Selection depends on swirl/distortion levels and allowable permanent pressure loss. Flow Straighteners can be manufactured in required materials and dimensions for different pipe standards.
